Chinar Book festival

Srinagar: If it is not about films sitting on the banks of Dal Lake, then the purpose of coming to Kashmir would not be fulfilled. From Kashmir Ki Kali, Shikara, Mission Kashmir, Jab Tak Hai Jaan and not knowing how many Hindi cinema, South, Bengali films were filmed in Kashmir. But Kashmir was seen turning into films every time. “Talking about Kashmir in films at the Chinar Book Festival, director ChandraprakashDwivedi said, “”I have a very deep connection with Kashmir.” I have worked with Faisal Rashid and Danish Bhatt. “Due to modernity and the interest of the audience, the face of Kashmir in films has changed.” “Anant Vijay, Associate Editor and author of DainikJagran, was also part of the discussion.” Talking about Kashmir and the film, he said, “Kashmir has been in the heart of our films ever since the films started to be made. Whenever we talk about natural beauty, we remember only one name and that is Kashmir. But unfortunately we used Kashmir as just a backdrop. Never has it been filmed about the literature, art, culture, and music of Kashmir and especially the youth of Kashmir. The discussion at Chinar Talks also discussed the new film policy of the Kashmir government. ChandraprakashDwivedi also told the youth about modern technologies like face replacement used in films.

I am very surprised to see the participation of the youth of Kashmir in the Chinar Book Festival, the crowd of youth at the book stalls. The image that is created in front of us about Kashmir is completely opposite here. Such events should be held here every time, showing how much interest the youth here are in books, films.
